She has a strong interest in physicality, drawing on her experience with Laban technique and dance to inform her process. She prioritises creating a safe, open, and collaborative space on set and in the rehearsal room to achieve playful, explorative, and daring work.

Lydia is committed to championing diversity across her casts and creative teams, and is particularly drawn to projects that centre underrepresented voices. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, she is passionate about telling queer stories with authenticity and a unique perspective.
